Los Angeles Area Residence
Scope
In this modern family residence, the exploration of materials informed the development of the space. We knocked down multiple walls and opened up spaces, exploiting the lightness and openness of ranch style architecture.
Custom details seamlessly weave patterns throughout the home. The travertine floors are not only dramatic and light but practical for a family house with a pool mere steps outside the sliding doors. Custom mahogany cabinetry, translucent dividers, and doors and windows with inlaid mica panels, work together to maintain a visual connection throughout the home. The use of varied tiles in the Master Shower create texture that lends to the artful environment while maintaining a subtle palette.
