Project
Crossroads Restaurant in Joshua Tree
Scope
This restaurant remodel paid detailed attention to the existing structure, history of the building, and its materials. The building was literally taken apart and put back together to give it a feel that is both timeless and renewed.
We removed the wood siding, planed, sanded, and sealed it, and then reinstalled it throughout the restaurant. This reinvented the environment using the existing material. In some places, we exposed the original concrete brick walls, blending modern and Old Western styles. The wood of the bar was charred and then reinstalled to give the establishment a clean, yet patinaed look. The custom lights fabricated by Mark Bell enrich the restaurant with a layer of artful history with a vintage touch.
